There are two versions of Windows Server released from both the LTSC and SAC channels; the LTSC channel version is the 2019 Server, which is actually a new Build from Windows Server 2016 and has the capabilities of the traditional version of Windows Server. The release of the SAC channel is known as Windows Server Version 1903 and is a new generation Windows Server without a graphical user interface.
The 2019 release is available in two Retail editions via MSDN and Volume or VL via VLSC due to the simpler Volume Editing activation method. The 1909 version, which is usually updated at the same time as the original version of Windows 10, is released via both MSDN and VLSC and is available in two volumes.
