Gain total control of your gems.
Whether you are remounting customer gems or creating a new design from scratch, Matrix offers the largest array of tools for laying out and adjusting gems. The sophisticated Pavé tool allows beautiful flowing patterns over the most demanding surfaces. This real-time total weights is displayed on-screen with Gem Reporter.
Speed up your creativity with Builders.
Rely on the jeweler-friendly Builders in Matrix to provide step-by-step menus that guide you through the creation of common jewelery designs and components. This video example explores the Builders of the popular and profitable custom design category of Signet Rings and Award Rings.
Change the rules of CAD with T-Splines.
Create flowing organic shapes using T-Splines technology integrated right into Matrix. This new approach to CAD elicits the look of a luxuriously fluid jewelery without the work of building a model curve by curve. A T-Splines library of common and useful models speeds up design time.
Access common tools with just one key.
When performing a common function, Matrix gathers all the most useful tools together in one customizable menu and lets you access them with just one push of the F6 key.
Preview looks to help you design and sell.
Surface design, technical inspection, and finished presentation all require a different display mode. Matrix offers multiple on-screen looks that make what you are doing easier to see.
Make it all sizzle with enhanced presentations.
Matrix lets you take your stunning photo-realistic jewelery images even farther. Add glamor and life to any render with Sparkle Builder. Animation Builder helps you set up and create moving animations. And Matrix Viewer lets your customers see and interact with your 3D designs.

Turn 2D into 3D art designs.
Integrated right into the software, Matrix Art is a fully-featured height field from the bitmap modeling tool program integrated into Matrix.
Intel i7 Quad Core, 2GHz or higher
Minimum: Intel i5 Quad Core, 2GHz or higher
Intel Xeon Series processors are not recommended.
Matrix® is a very processor intensive program, so getting a fast processor is the best way to increase your performance. We do not recommend the i3 chipset for Matrix® as they are only dual-core entry level processors in the ‘i series’, and are meant more for low-power mobile platforms. While you can find a suitable computer with an i5 chip, if you plan on doing a lot of rendering, animations, or multi-tasking, i7 would be a better option.
8GB – 12GB or more
Matrix® is a 64-bit application that can use as much memory as your computer has available. Generally 8GB is plenty for most designers, however, if you plan on using your computer for more than just Matrix®, more memory would be helpful.
Graphics Card (GPU)
NVIDIA GeForce 1000 Series (GTX 1060, 1070, 1080) or higher
Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce 700 Series (GTX 750, 850, 950, 1050)
NVIDIA Quadro GPUs are not recommended or supported
NVIDIA GeForce GTX with minimum 1GB of video
Gemvision only recommends the GeForce Series of NVIDIA Graphics cards. Visit NVIDIA’s website for detailed descriptions of the various models. Please contact Gemvision technical support if you have any questions.
